Thanks to Fedex I’ve been tracking the location of my new bike and due to a customs delay it is now held up in Grand Forks, North Dakota. So far it has traveled more then 2500 km. I wanted to try Google maps and how it embeds on the new site so here is a map plotting it’s course so far:

Inspired by Blizzard’s Warcraft 3 and Gears of War I modeled Prince Arthas as I imagine he would appear if the new WoW expansion pack was going to use the UE3 engine. I used Softimage XSI to create the low poly mesh, Mudbox to create the high poly mesh, and Photoshop for the textures. Polycount is sitting at 7994.

Today was probably the last road of the season for me. It was a nice sunny day in Nelson and the roads were dry but it was bitterly cold. It took a very long shower and a bunch of hot chocolate to thaw me out after that one. I also started a flickr account so I can start to upload some of my pictures for everyone to see, it will also help with the web hosting of the site with the pictures being hosted somewhere else. Here is one the pictures I uploaded:

I finally got around to getting my new site up and running, so here I present http://waz.ca/ v2. This is what the old site used to look like for those that don’t remember it or never stopped by before.

I have created this new site with the blogging software WordPress as the backend and created the theme myself. I’ll release the theme to download a little later on after I finish getting it the way I want. Hopefully this new site serves me as well as the old one. If you are looking for any of the old content on here please e-mail me as I have it all saved on my hard drive.

Well with Andy back for the long weekend we saddled up the bikes and hit up Placenta Decenta. There really is nothing that compares to mountain biking in fresh snow, you can almost compare it to skiing but the feeling is very different. I can’t wait for Christmas to get in some real powder.
